Fantastic strand of antique phenolic amber/bakelite and old coral beads, ancient amazonite bead enhanced with antique small silver beads painstakingly made in Mauritania using granulation technique. Some of the silver beads have traces of gold wash still on them. Made with high grade silver, these exquisite old tribal beads are rare and scarce.

The Mauritanians manipulated the plain round phenolic beads and shaped some of them into a rounded diamond shape and drilled side holes in them and incising some of them, lending so much more character to them. The beads were also heated which gave them a richer hue.
